VICKI L. MULAK, EA, CFP, AND OWNER

Vicki is an Enrolled Agent and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). She is Insurance and securities licensed. As owner of American Financial and Tax, located in Tustin, Vicki has assisted both business owners and individuals for twenty-one years in a variety of tax and financial matters, including tax planning and preparation (individual, business and estate/trust), tax representation in audit and collections, retirement planning, estate planning and investment sales.

In addition to her private practice, Vicki has represented the tax practitioner community for over eleven years on the California Employment Development Dept.'s (EDD) Small Business Employer’s Advisory Committee (SBEAC). Vicki regularly speaks on California tax law and other tax related business topics to such groups as California Society of Enrolled Agents (CSEA) and California Society of Tax Consultants (CSTC). National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) continues to retain her services for multiple education offerings across the United States. In 2006, she was the recipient of CSEA’s prestigious “Thomas P Hess Award” in recognition of her contributions to the fulfillment of the Educational Goals of CSEA.

She is a popular presenter for CSEA’s Tax Boat education cruise and part of the faculty of CSEA’s Super Seminar. In 2005, she was a featured speaker for Gear Up seminars. In December 2004 she appeared on the IRS’ web cast Tax Talk Today. She is also contracted with the “Best in the West” seminar hosted by the Nevada Society of Enrolled Agents.

She has taught the Corporation portion, of the Special Enrollment Exam Class, offered by the Orange County Chapter of CSEA for fifteen years. She has been an Extended Education instructor for California State University at Fullerton for their Financial Planning Certificate Program from 1997-1998. As the 1996 recipient of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s “Accountant Advocate of the Year” award, she was honored for her excellent support of the local business community.

Vicki is also active with Practitioner Publishing Company, serving as an editor for the Accounting Quickfinder book.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Thomas Edison State College in Camden, New Jersey, and resides with her husband and daughter in Tustin.
